Terms of Service

Agreement

By accessing or using Synhop at www.synhop.com or our mobile apps, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Synhop is operated by NEECHE STUDIO PTY LTD (ABN 77 699 906 208, ACN 699 906 208), an Australian proprietary company ("NEECHE STUDIO", "we", "us", or "our").

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Synhop. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your country, you may use Synhop only with permission from a parent or guardian.

The game

Synhop offers one official daily puzzle per local calendar day. Practice and archive modes may have separate rules. We may change puzzles, features, pricing, or availability at any time.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and activity on your account. Usernames must not be offensive, misleading, or impersonate others. We may remove content or suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.

Synhop Plus

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. Price, renewal, and cancellation terms are shown at checkout. You can manage billing from your profile. Refunds follow Stripe's policies and applicable law, including any non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Prices are shown at checkout and may include GST where applicable. Free accounts may include sponsored content and advertising. Synhop Plus removes in-game ad placements.

Advertising

Free accounts may see third-party advertisements served by Google AdSense. Ad content is provided by third parties; we do not endorse advertised products or services. Advertising is described further in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

• Do not cheat automated leaderboards or manipulate rankings
• Do not scrape, bulk download, mirror, or republish puzzles, word lists, or other Synhop content
• Do not reverse engineer, copy, or create a competing product from Synhop's code, design, or content without our written permission
• Do not use the Synhop name, logo, or branding in a way that suggests affiliation, endorsement, or that your product is Synhop
• Do not attempt to disrupt gameplay, bypass security, or interfere with other users
• Do not use Synhop for unlawful purposes or to distribute malware or spam

Intellectual property

Synhop, including its name, logos, visual design, user interface, original puzzles, game logic presentation, text, and software (excluding third-party materials), is owned by NEECHE STUDIO PTY LTD or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

We claim rights in the Synhop name and branding as unregistered trade marks (Synhop™). You may not use Synhop™, confusingly similar names, or our branding to identify your own product, service, social account, or domain without our prior written permission.

Using Synhop does not give you any ownership of our IP. You may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, frame, mirror, or commercially exploit Synhop or its content except as expressly allowed by these terms or by law (for example, fair dealing).

WordNet content is used under Princeton University's license and remains subject to that license. If you believe someone is infringing Synhop's IP, email hello@neeche.studio with details and we will take appropriate action.

Disclaimer

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law and any other non-excludable rights, Synhop is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the services or paying the cost of resupplying them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia and the courts of appeal from them, without limiting any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may modify these terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
